Details:
Sky Lynn recorded her second album, Jackson Hwy. Barnes Drive on the weekends spanning January through March. She packed up her studio and drove it to her Father’s farm in Oregon where she set up shop. Then, every Friday night Sky would load up the necessary instruments she needed for that weekend and head out of town.
Sky wanted to create an environment for this record. Driving 5 hours and spending the weekends in a quiet farmhouse seemed to do the trick. On one song you can hear the rainstorm in the background on one of the vocal tracks due to the old thin windows. Waking up to a wood stove and coffee created the perfect isolated world for Jackson Hwy. Barnes Drive.
