Living the military life, Faith Above Reason started out as the Farrell Family Singers, ministering with great southern gospel tunes such as “I’ll Fly Away”, “He Set Me Free” and “I Saw the Light” at their local Kentucky church.
After military retirement, The Farrell’s settled in northern California until 1997 when Phoenix, Arizona became their home. This is where Faith Above Reason was formed which came to be the groups core value.

Faith Above Reason is currently promoting their new commercial release called “Beyond on the Cross”. Several of the songs on the album were co-written by Kathy Farrell and Patty Uptain, two members of the group.

Family Life Assembly of God, their home church helped support the release by having a Gospel Jamboree in honor of Faith Above Reason.

Kathy Farrell, Helen Nolan, Melissa Abernathy and Patty Uptain all make up Faith Above Reason. Kathy is the mom of the group, she has been singing for many years which started with her family in California. Making up the rest of the group are Kathy’s daughters and all have been singing in the group since early ages.
Faith Above Reason has a goal to use their music through recordings and traveling to local and national churches to spread the Word as witnesses for the Lord, this is their Ministry!

Country gospel through and through, Faith Above Reason will use their music to express how His love never fails them and they are a willing vessel for God.
