Hawaii-born singer/songwriter, Connie Kissinger, offers her musical legacy. KISS is an inspiration of the islands. A delightful selection of Hawaiian themes…...from tropical fruit to Kona coffee, barefoot swing to sailing, seashells to starry nights. Ms. Kissinger’s lively composition, ‘Island to Island’, is a humorous comparison of her life in Hawaii –vs- Manhattan (where she resides part-time). A lush, exotic arrangement of ‘Love Song from Mutiny On the Bounty’ showcases her range and vocal discipline. For native-style classic pop, ukulele captures the hypnotic ocean rhythm on Christopher Cross’s ‘Sailing’. ‘Kona Coffee Song’ (another KISS original) delivers an electric caffeine high set to a calypso beat. Kissinger is seductress with a sultry interpretation of ‘Papaya’. In bidding a fond aloha --‘The Queen’s Prayer’ for a poignant closing.
