Biography

Born in Jamaica, West Indies, Dave Anthony Cadien has been playing from the age of 4. He is a self-taught musician who was encouraged by his grandparents to develop what they believed was a special gift for playing the piano. As he grew older he realized that he was not just gifted with the ability to play the piano, but he also had a natural ear for music. Dave played and traveled with a local gospel group in Jamaica for 5 years with a street outreach ministry. Dave did his first recording in 1984 at the Music Mountain International Studio in Jamaica. He has produced several instrumental pieces for various singing artists.

Dave left the West Indies in 1986 and continued to pursue his vision as a songwriter and composer. He received his Associate Degree in Music and Video Business at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale Florida in 1996, as well as other honors and notoriety.

Dave is married with 2 daughters. He has served in the capacity of music director for several churches. His greatest passion if asked, is to write praise and worship songs. Dave is a devote Christian, and gets most of his inspirations from reading the Psalms. Dave is passionate about worship and every sound that he produces comes from his quite time that he spends in prayer and devotion to God.

This CD “Anointed Fingers - Soul Soothing Sounds” brings out his diverse musical abilities. Dave composed and arranged all the instrumentals on this album. There is uniqueness in the way he plays. There is a soul stirring presence that brings about spiritual healing to the listener. Dave’s aspiration is just to be himself. He will tell you, he just wants to become a sound that sends out a fragrance of grace and peace to the hearers.
