The CD features John on vocals and a cache of instruments: acoustic guitar, upright bass, 6-string fretless electric bass, 5-string electric bass, and acoustic bass guitar. The songs are presented in a band format with sidemen from John''s home town San Francisco including Paulo Baldi on percussion, Steve Rossi on drums, and Bob Johnson on sax. Also featured from London is Theo Travis on sax and flute and from Amsterdam, pianist Bas Van Lier.
