Born and raised in South Mississippi, Jeffery Williams roots run deep in blues, country and southern rock. Inspired by many years of playing honky tonks all over the south in a variety of bands and vast personal experiences, Jeffery’s original tracks are filled with lyrical passages about love and hard times with a humorous edge. Subtle guitar passages, as well as blazing electric blues inspired licks please the listener with Jeffery''s versatile style. All tracks were written, arranged, produced and recorded by Jeffery.

Completely wiped out of house and home by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the track Slabbed, sums up what happened from his perspective. Rising up from such a depressing situation to look at the situation with humor is typical of the way Jeffery has lived his entire life.

Notes from Jeffery

I titled my album The Road of Life, because it is a compilation of tunes I have written as I have traveled down this wonderful road. Sometimes straight and smooth, sometimes bumpy,hilly, twisting turns with no obvious destination. I''m quite sure you can relate to some of these experiences.

I started this project in early 2005, but was delayed August 29 by Katrina. Living about 1000 feet from the beach in Gulfport, we lost our home and 99% of our belongings. Six months later, we were able to find another home in Gulfport. I pieced another studio together and finished this project. It’s not perfect, nor is it meant to be. Listen not with the ears of an audiophile, but with an open mind and connection to what is real, what comes from the soul. Hope you enjoy!
