Ewan Matthews is an independant solo artist based in eastern Canada. His influences include the celtic folk music of the region, mainstream rock/pop, and classical music, in particular orchestral works and film scores.

Ewan produces his music entirely himself, largely with synthesizers, although an accurate acoustic sound is his primary goal.

Ewan''s first album, Turn the Lights Out, combines his favourite types of songs: strong, catchy feel-good pop; dark, thrilling orchestral power; and smooth, trance-like ambience. The overall style is ultimately unique, and the album touches distant corners of the emotional spectrum.
