Meghan McKown ~ exquisite vocals with an edge; Tim Tobias ~ consummate professional jazz piano player and songwriter; Scott Schaafsma ~ accomplished upright & electric bass player, cello player and songwriter. Greg Novak with his lyrics and drumming brought this ensemble together as Clacton Garston. With some new arrangements and some new music by Tobias and Schaafsma, Novak’s poems are compellingly delivered through the sublime singing of McKown. All tracks were enjoyably recorded live all together now in three takes or less.
