Born into a musical family, Jonathan Haley started to learn the guitar at the age of twelve. Almost as soon as he started to learn, he started to write his own songs. When he was 18 years old he began to take classical guitar lessons. Having never read music before, it was a lot to catch up on for him. However, he worked hard and learned quickly, and within two years time he became the ownly guitar player to win the Presidential Music Scholarship at Houghton College. He learned much under his teacher, Dr. Anton Machleder.
After graduating, Jonathan began to have a desire in his heart to write songs again, so he turned down an offer to go to Peabody Conservatory in order to record this album. "Under His Wings" is his first release and he is currently working on a second album.
Jonathan''s style branches from contemporary christian to classical, to inspirational. "Under His Wings" is an album that represents the many musical sides of Jonathan Haley and his love for God.
