Ayana Baker started playing the piano and taking piano lessons at the age of 6. Ayana

has been playing the piano for over 25 years and in 1980 she won a plaque for best performance

as a piano soloist. Recently Ayana has been on VH1''s Song of The Year Suggested Artist list

for the month of October and November of 2004. Her first concert was July 25,2005 in which

she performed three original songs that she produced . Ayana was recently

in concert again on August 27,2005 at the Multi-Center where she performed and danced to

songs that she produced. She has just completed her first Hip/R&B CD and is now working on

her instrumental Jazz Piano solo CD that will be out in early Decemeber. Awards behind her

include 2nd place in a piano composition from ACT-SO 1993 for a song that she wrote, and 2nd

place for dramatics with ACT-SO 1993.
