Details:
Beth Thieme was born and raised in Austell, Georgia and became involved in music at church and school as a child. She began classical voice studies in college, but left for Memphis in the early 70''s. She became part of the thriving music scene, which was very receptive to Beth''s vocal talents.

Beth was contracted as a background singer for the original Memphis Horns and moved to Los Angeles, marrying respected composer and arranger James Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell is best known for his work with Al Green, Ann Peebles, and a host of other Memphis soul artists of that time. They became involved with Unity Church of North Hollywood: James as music director and Beth as soloist.

Beth, James, and son Jamel returned to Memphis in 1987 with Beth resuming musical studies and assuming duties as music director at Unity Church of Memphis. She also found time to record the album "Heartsongs". Her inspiration for that recording and this one is based on her studies of A Course in Miracles.
