Marquette Carney is a 27-year-old man who was born in West Tennessee to two wonderful parents. The youngest of eight children, Carney has been writing poetry since he was twelve years old. "Swallow the Moon" was his debut book of poetry released March 2005. A book of daily inspiration and reflection, "Not What I Wanted, But What I Needed" was released August 2006. Now, his third book will be released in August 2007 is entitled "Love - Exotic or Toxic." Marquette says, "Every relationship is either good (exotic) or bad (toxic). If you spend most of your time in that gray area, then 9 times out of 10 it''s more toxic." With release of this book, Marquette will release his CD as well entitled the same.

He is the Founder/CEO of Soul Write Publishing, LLC. He is a corporate level healthcare professional that found his passion in writing at an early age. He felt compelled to share a piece of his passion in these books. He is a poet and songwriter that currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
