EJ Linehan was born and raised in Lynn, MA, about 10 miles north of Boston. As a child I was nerdy and very shy. I wasn’t good at talking to people. I was a fat little bastard too, so there went any self esteem. I attended public schools, one because I thought private school kids were spoiled rich kids and two because my parents couldn’t afford to pay for school. I had and still have a steady family who supports me in my endeavors. I was a really wild teen. I’ve been drinking since 8th grade. So that’s like what, 13? I got into a lot of fights as a kid. I was very disobedient of my parents and any other authority figure. I’ve been arrested a few times. I spent time on probation more than once and spent many a night just trying to find somewhere to sleep. Sometimes that meant a park bench or my car once I finally had one.
I’ve been writing music since my teens. I started recording when I turned 21. I have been acting since I was 21 as well. I recorded my first nine track demo in a studio out of south Boston. My flow has vastly improved over the years.
I am very good at what I do, and I only keep getting better. This is what I yearn to do. I can’t live the rest of my life working retail. I have been passionate about music and movies since I was a child. I sacrifice a lot for this dream. From Boston I moved to the New York area to follow my heart, and soon will be giving up everything I know again to move to Los Angeles. This life is tough. I get close to people and then I have to leave them. But my career means a lot to me and in the end it’s the only thing that I can be certain of. This industry is so hard to break into, but I work too hard and have too much talent not to make it.
