CRY was originally formed in 1984 by former Byrds members Gene Clark and John York as well as their longtime songwriting collaborator Pat Robinson, as an extension of The Byrds, to perform the latest material written by Clark, Robinson & York. Nicky Hopkins joined shortly thereafter and CRY began recording the following original songs at Silvery Moon Recording Studios.

These recordings performed by John York & Pat Robinson represent some of the last works of the late Gene Clark and Nicky Hopkins.
