"Canvas & Rhythm" (2001) is John Danley''s 3rd national, independent release. John was presented a critic''s choice award in The Nashville Scene based on this recording in 2002.

Danley is a regular contributor to National Public Radio, a performing arts entertainer and composer of documentary and independent film music. In March of 1999, Danley developed a style of guitar playing by using a paintbrush to add percussive sounds to the instrument while simutaneously creating harmonies and melodic hooks.
