Disstrick is comprised of 6 people with diverse backgrounds. JEI, Los, and Rob attended the Duke Ellington School while coming up in Washington, DC. They formed the band in late 2001. Jon and Ben hail from Iowa. They came up in the dense musical environment of the Iowa High School Jazz scene. All members attend or attended the University of Northern Iowa School of Music. The fusion of the 6s'' rich musical backgrounds has yielded what we now call DISSTRICK - BRING ON THE FUNK!... peace!
