Made up of Jim Mortenson on Saxophones, Kerry Adams on Trumpet and Flugelhorn, Mike Loveless on Piano and Organ, Dave Senft on Drums, and Gary Short on Bass, this band came to play. Make no mistake, this ain''t adult contemporary, they are a Jazz Band to the soul, but what makles them unique is they''re collective vibe.
Their new CD flat-out sounds great. They cover a great range from an ultra-hip version of Gershwin''s "Summertime" to slinky goodness of "Elm Street" to the quirky homage to Thelonius Monk called "Got Monk?"
