First Journey is an instrumental musical exploration. It is a musical expression of sounds from many different cultures around the world. It fuses new age, jazz, classical, and world beat styles into a journey of inner space and outer dance. It is a journey also in the sense that the songs were created in the order they appear on the album, taking a piece of one song and connecting it to the next song to create a musical flow.

Mark Dobroth is a multi-instrumentalist who has performed in top 40 dance bands, jazz ensembles, jazz/fusion bands and has worked as a electric bass player on a variety of recording sessions and is experienced both as a session musician and recording engineer.
