Downtown Quartet''s "Rocket Science" is a milestone recording for the group; possibly their most ambitious arrangements to date. Steeped in the jazz-fusion tradition of Chick Corea, Weather Report, and the Yellowjackets (they opened on their "Greenhouse" tour), the Silverman Brothers with bassist Larry Kornfeld, along with guest guitarist Chris McCollum stretch out and burn on this well-produced CD. Recorded at the Time Machine Records studio in 2000, these tightly arranged tunes has appeared in dozens of TV and radio commercials, films and video productions.
