Born in paradise; the Cayman Islands on March 3rd 1983, up and coming Miami based producer has crafted his musical talent and now stands tall as one of the worlds most talented up and coming artists. Born Jason Christopher Gilbert and renamed JG by his peers, he started his musical journey at the age of 14 when a local radio DJ and friend asked him to fill in on his weekly freestyle segment. Shocking both listeners and himself with his "smart mouthed'' word play, JG decided to take his ability as an MC seriously and began developing his unpolished talent. Dissatisfied with the performance of various artists on his tracks, JG decided to write lyrics for them, making him a producer/writer. JG joined up with two other producers, Brian Eden and Paul Hudson and they eventually formed the Miami based production company "The Hit Depot". The company has so far produced and played for the likes of Nina Sky, Elephant man, Bounty Killer, Mavado, Tafari, Sizzla, Jimmy Cozier and Black Chiney to name a few. JG also decided to perfect his skills as a musician.
