The La Las music and lyrics were written by husband and wife, Jill and Jeff Simpson. Jill''s biggest musical influence is Karen Carpenter, and likes the fun, 70''s style of the Carpenters, while Jeff likes more of a laid back, alternative music sound. Taking those different styles and combining them together helped create the La La''s sound. Jill wrote the lyrics and sings, Jeff wrote and performed the music. Jill is a Child Development major who has a background performing and teaching preschool music programs. Jeff has grown up playing the guitar and likes to be behind the scenes as a musician and producer. They have 2 children, so during nap time and at night after the kiddos went to bed they would work on music, sometimes stopping in the middle to give a bottle or take someone potty! They have two main goals, writing music for children to promote self esteem and individuality, and to make music that adults will enjoy listening to as well!
