Born in March of 1967 in Andrews, Texas, Lance grew up in West Texas. In the early 70''s he moved to Breckenridge, TX where he finished high school. It was when he was growing up he had a solid foundation in traditional country music and played drums in different bands. He attended McMurry University in Abilene, Texas where he played football and received a B.S. in Geology.
He moved to Austin in 1991 working as a Hydrogeologist and played drums in a 50''s and 60''s rock band. Lance later became a flight instructor where he was given a Martin guitar from a student while they were in Nashville. That guitar inspired him to learn to play the guitar and his songwriting finally fell into place.

Lance finds inspiration for his lyrics from real-life experiences as well as some fictitious outlets like the humorous cut "Don''t Let The Door Hit Ya, Where The Good Lord Split Ya". This song has sparked interest as far away as Australia. Lance has experiences ranging from several accomplishments such as a geologist, airline pilot, Texas Highway Patrolman, and now flys again. His passion for life and family are reflected in his writing.

He wrote all ten songs and played some electric and acoustic guitar on the recordings with the help of a few great musicians who have played for the likes of Ray Price, LeAnn Rimes, Charlie Pride, Marty Stuart, Hank Williams Jr. and many others. "Life''s Good... Life''s Great" was co-produced by Lance and Joe Bielinski. The songs range from traditional country to Texas country. Some of the music that has spurred Lance into songwriting comes from Radney Foster, Buck Owens, Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson, Chris Knight, and Bruce Robison.
