Roy Johnson is a New York born, Oklahoma raised, comedian who now lives in Tampa, Fl. Roy started his comedy journey at The Tampa Improv in July of 2000 and performed as the house emcee from 2003-2005. Roy proudly calls the Tampa Improv home. In 2006 Roy won the Maxxim Magazine/Bud Light “Real Men of Comedy” Competition in Atlantic City.
“Love Notes from the True Romantic” is the debut comedy release from Roy Johnson. It is a look at Roy’s changing life from young single guy at the bar to an older, simpler married guy who is just trying to have a good life with his wife. Roy’s theory is that romance is a simple thing we complicate by over thinking.
