Daryl was born into a farming family and has farmed in various locations including NZ, the South Australian Riverland, and the Central West of New South Wales. He now resides with his family in Emerald in Central Queensland where he now owns and operates a precision machining company.

One of Daryl''s main passions in life is music, especially country and gospel music. Daryl and his family often play at various festivals and events, including Gems of Country Music Festival at Emerald Queensland, Gemfest, and the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

It is with great pleasure that he now brings to you this special EP release, Downunder Country Vol 1. In November 2007 Daryl with Downunder Country Vol 1 won Best New Talent in the Australian Country Recording Awards (ACRA’s). A week later the album was album of the week with Steve Austin on ABC Brisbane.

This album has 4 popular tracks, first recorded by Chet Atkins & Jim Reeves at the RCA Recording Studios in Nashville TN. USA. Daryl was able to achieve the Nashville sound on this collector’s item and there is no guarantee that these songs will be on subsequent albums.
