The CD opens with a rowdy, flagrantly sexy Armenian tune featuring Ararat Petrosian''s duduk. From then on, Sevada embarks on a more meditative tour, reaching for discreet spaces of introspection that do justice to the album''s title. Over all, Years of Solitude''s is a mellower sound compared to Palpitation of Soul, making for a succession of wistful,expansive moments. Many of the compositions are also plain gorgeous, sometimes delivered through Petrosian''s and Andre Harutyunyan''s traditional Armenian instruments.
