Lo-fi, high-energy rock ''n'' roll defines the sound of Portland, Oregon''s The Get Me Downs. Littering their songs with cool hooks and smart lyrics, they pay homage to their early Northwest garage rock ancestors, The Sonics and the Kingsmen.

The Get Me downs consist of Anne Stark on bass and vocals; Michael Donhowe on guitar and vocals; and Eric Alto on Drums. Both Donhowe and Stark formerly played in the power pop band Sugarboom, while Alto did a stint with the group Pilot. Since the groups formation in the Fall of 2002, they have developed into a terrific live act which draws on the considerable song writing skills of both Stark and Donhowe, as well as the trio''s unabashed approach to rocking out with three chords and having fun.

"burn this EP" is the Get Me Downs debut release.
