Steadfast190 was officially formed about a year ago. However, the CD has been in the making for a few years. We have always had the desire to write music and speak to the Church through our music. So several months ago we decided it was time to put our thoughts into action.
Our prayer is that God uses our music to inspire the Church but also to challenge the Church to begin asking the difficult questions. Isn’t it time to answer the call of God? Are we willing to follow Christ at all cost? Have we been complacent about those who are suffering? Isn’t it time that the Church be the Church. God has challenged Steadfast190 to live lives that are a reflection of Christ. Our music is just an extension of the questions we’ve asked ourselves.
So where did we get the name Steadfast190? Well, the thought of being constant and unwavering in our faith is very important. Without faith it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:2). The person in the Bible who inspires us greatly is Abraham. We believe his faith was steadfast, and this was evidenced by his walk with God. Abraham and Sarah had to wait many years, believing God, for their son Isaac. It was 23 years after God gave them the promise of a son before Isaac was born. Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah was 90 years old when this happened. Their combined ages?? 190 yrs.
So, there you go. Steadfast190.
