After a trip-poppy opening track on Australian duo GloveBox''s self-titled debut, the band plays up their humorously deadpan delivery with Cake-ish lines like "McDonald''s they''re a restaurant not a caf�© I like the way they stack my tray." "Never Be The Same" follows this with Beth Gibbons-like ruminations, and the "$10 Whore" boasts an operatic opening for the rather unsympathetic treatment of the subject. Touting themselves as "electrorganic super pop," Glovebox''s sound could be a bit more "super" sometimes, but their Aussie dance-pop gets those down under to shake their down unders.
