"The Great Mistake", is a four piece band based out of Buffalo, New York. When these four musicians get together they create a paradox of sound. Simple yet complex, moving yet fun. Its Melody driven rock sounds similar to "Ben folds five" and "Weezer". The group itself has laughingly referred to its sound as "Geek rock" in deference to the styles first popularized in the mid-90s, but there is a twist. There''s absolutely no denying the masterful integration of acoustic-based rock sounds in much of their music. Piano, original synth and good old fashion electric guitars come together with popular alternative sounds to create something new, something uncommon, something that is unmistakably - The Great Mistake.
