This is pure Country Gospel Mountain Music with a Bluegrass edge and we enjoy doing this family style.

Jamie and Jenny Smid met in the Spring of 1997 and married in May of 1998 (When we were dating, Jamie’s singing and guitar playing was very romantic. He would sing love songs to me and look into my eyes, and I melted)

Jamie learned guitar as a young boy. He is very thankful his parents encouraged him to get into music. It’s a hobby that is not only relaxing but one you can grow old with.

We first started performing about 5 years ago. Our little girls, Katie 7, Michelle 5 and Emmy 2 have started adding little songs to our performances. Daddy’s got the most talent of us, but the girls usually steal the show. Especially Emmy (2), she just stands there and people clap for her. We hope our children grow up to enjoy music as much as we do.

We were privileged to meet our CD Producer, Michael Cutsforth( owner of MC Audio)at the Dunkerton Days Gospel Sing a few years ago. He along with a lot of family and friends really encouraged us to record a CD. Michael’s music talent runs deep and we are so thankful for his musical advice and hard work on our First CD project.

We dedicated the 1st Smid Family CD entitled “He Satisfies” to our parents, Robert and Helen Smid of West Union and Dennis & Debby Stickfort of Dunkerton. Our parents have been a real support and encouragement to us. The CD was officially released on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2008.

Mission Statement About our Music: Our desire is to bring glory to our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ by serving Him together as a family. Through Gospel music, we want to proclaim His great plan of salvation. We sincerely hope and pray that folks will come to trust Christ as their personal Saviour, as well as encourage Christians in the Lord, and see other families strengthened and inspired.
