the sound reflects the guys'' varied tastes and influences-

ben (vocals, guitar) offers an sense of melody, emotional tenor, and guitar texture - counting radiohead, bob dylan, and nirvana among his influences

michael (drums, vocals) brings a heavier more groove-oriented element to bear - having been influenced by soundgarden and the great funk drummers of james brown

andrew (bass, vocals) takes an active, textured, harmonic approach to the instrument paying particular attention to the bass playing of paul mccartney, mick karn, peter hook and mike mills.
