Robin Horlock has spent most of his life writing songs and performing them live. After playing as lead singer and guitarist in the rock band, Bedford Blueprint, he split from the group to make his own CD, Risk To Try. Inspired by Sister Hazel''s producer, Don McCollister, and with Ryan Newell from Sister Hazel on lead guitar and Siggy Birkis (Outkast) on drums, Robin completed his album in Atlanta. He knew he had hit the mark when Mike Boyle, General Manager of CMJ (NY''s premier independent music magazine) wrote on hearing the CD, " NO bullmake, it''s THAT good (and I''m a jaded old industry f***, believe me!)". In October 2004 the Robin Horlock Band was selected to perform at the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC, while at the same time were featured on the cover and inside the CMJ Alert Magazine. Robin and his band''s local fan base in the Metro Detroit area is growing rapidly as word of his original pop-rock music spreads.
