Jamie and The Magic Torch Song was created in 2001 by 29-year-old singer/song-writer Jamie Gray. He wrote and produced his debut album, MIRAMAR in London before moving to Hannover, Germany in 2002. During this time, he has written and self-produced 3 albums: 2003''s SILENT STAR, his most recent album DARKNESS FALLS and a 17 track collection KISS OFF written and recorded intermittantly between 1997 and 2004.

Jamie and pianist Klaus Woessner are regular performers on Hannover''s live scene where they have quickly established themselves as one of the region''s most original and charismatic live acts.

Jamie Gray''s music is described by Time Out''s Laura Lee Davies as a "mixture of synth glamour and soulful drama". Hannover''s Schaedelspalter magazine said "Jamie Gray ist so schoen wie Dorian Gray, so umtrieben wie Felix Krull und so sexy wie Andy Bell" and in a recent interview with Neue Presse, he was labelled the "Duestere Diva des Melancholie-Pops" (the dark diva of melancholy pop).
