Joan Browne is principal flute of the Oakville Symphony and the Celebrity Symphony and regulary performs as a soloist at music festivals throughout Canada.

Her independently produced "Adagio ma non troppo" CD features beautiful and lyrical flute solos to the accompaniment of harpist Sharlene Wallace. Reviews have praised the release for its warm, sonorous flow featuring unique selections from the classical repertoire.

Oakville Today raved about Ms. Browne''s recent solo performance of Mozart''s Concerto for Flute and Harp with the Oakville Symphony, describing her as a musician of great sensitivity and depth who plays with bell-like clarity; "the First Movement belonged totally to her.
