Jeff Caylor began writing music about 15 years ago in college. Since then, he has been in a couple bands but has mostly laid low. He studied classical piano for 8 years but leans more jazz in his playing and writing now.

His sound has been described as acoustic soul and is sometimes compared to Sting and John Mayer.

Other musical influences include Andrew Peterson, Lyle Lovett and David Wilcox.
