Heeler gains it’s wealth in display of behavior from pulling together complimentary genres of music. The group comprises itself from ex-members of buzz worthy regional Midwestern United States bands: Valiomierda, Alcoholiday, The Invectives, and Half of Zero. The 4 members pull together elements of early 80’s hardcore, Elder Country, and Stoner Rock to round out the main islands of sound they create. The raw grit and energy of front man John Wood is the showcase of Heeler. This vigor is captured in their first release “The Wizard’s Sleeve”. The album clocks in around a half hour but its intensity and primal rock roots make it a great listen. The group sites the Super Suckers, Kyuss, Nine Pound Hammer, KISS, and Hank Williams as main influences. More known for their wild live performances, Heeler is spreading across the hybrid genre map playing with many different acts and leaving no doubts in the minds of many that they are a true force in Rock and Roll nature.
