KEEN is a four piece band out of Reno, Nevada who has definitely made their mark.   No matter what label is placed upon the music -- hard rock, heavy alternative; KEEN''s music is unique. Their style has been described as a tangled mass of emotion backed with powerful, driven music.

The original members, Chelsea Keen (vocals/keyboard)and Casey Keen (guitar), pieced KEEN together in August 1998. Shortly thereafter, they began to play live shows, and were a big hit in their hometown. Keen endured line up changes to find Nate Pearson (bass), who joined the band June 2001, and Jesse Easter(drums), who rejoined the band May 2003.

With success on their hands, Keen has proceeded to spread their sound to the Northern California regions; playing regularly in Stockton, Sacramento, and the Bay Area. Keen was hand picked to play the KSJO stage at the official 2000 X Games Village in San Francisco. They ignited the crowd and were subsequently asked to play a local venue at the 2000 SoFa Music Festival in San Jose. They also hit the stages in California as part of the FunBox tour in the summer of 2002.

Keen has played with such national acts as STAIND, Stereomud, The Flys, Oleander, Craving Theo, Dishwalla, 6 Gig, Endo, Spike 1000, Pressure 4-5 and others. They were also selected by https://www.tradebit.com to be featured in the sites "rock listening room" in August 2000. Keen was the only non-California based band selected to play Nadine''s Wild Weekend, an annual San Francisco music festival highlighting Northern California bands in 2001. They were also featured in a bE-iT television segment in March of 2002 which aired throughout Japan.

Keen''s song "281" was added to regular rotation on Reno''s KRZQ in February 2001. They have sold well over 2,000 copies of their debut CD - What''s With the Blue Hair?, SWALLOW - a 6 song EP, and A Random Mix - a 20 song compilation of material recorded throughout the life of Keen.
