Debut solo album from former member of alternative country rock band Say ZuZu. A solid rhythm section evokes early ''70s Waylon Jennings, and fans of early Son Volt, John Prine, and Willie Nelson would be at home with this ragged-but-right collection of songs.

Born in New Jersey, raised in New Hampshire, and recently moved from Cambridge, Massachusetts to Baltimore, Maryland, Murphy''s songs depict tales of the adjustment from small town to city life and the transformative power of love, friendship, and the road.

Murphy is backed on two songs (Bay State Lullaby, The Way I Was Back Then) by The Everybodyfields.
