Will Parsons, who plays multiple instruments and Josh Picketts, both Merlefest winners, bring some compelling instrumental backups to this gripping and professional CD.

With Scott Linton taking most of the vocal leads and harmonies, this CD is chocked full of emotion and virtuosity.

The standout cuts on this album are the title cut (BlueRidge) and the uptempo gospel closer (Redemption Draweth Near), written by Verna Rodes of MasterShield Records.
