L.E. Stokes spent her childhood in Reno Nevada and Dallas Texas. She came out to California to attend Pepperdine University where she studied music.  Her study focussed primarily on Classical music with training in opera, choral music, and musical theater. Shortly after leaving college, she chose to pursue songwriting. Her music offers a candid look at what it is to be a 20 something, a woman in a post modern world, a child, an adult, a human being trying to find meaning in all her experiences. Through poignant lyrics that explore the intricacies of confusion and self-doubt there is a celebration of the absurdity and order of life.  She has played to crowds in California, Texas, Scotland, England, and France.
