MARCS aka MarcsDaMan (Marcus D. Patton) has been making an impact on the underground Chicago rap scene for the last 8 years. Born in 1982, Marcs is half of the duo, MENIS, with EWING KAPIYAH. They are an offshoot of a group formed at Whitney Young High School in 1998 called DOUBLE PLATINUM with JBRADY and THUGGER 8.

MARCS has worked with a library of underground Chicago artists such as SINISTA DARK (FLAME), STAMPEDE, PAIN, LOGIC, JOONE, etc. His style can be compared to a ''thugged out Lupe Fiasco'' as one local publication called it. His unique vocabulary and off kilter flow make him stand out on any track he''s on. MARCS is currently working on a project with SINISTA DARK (Wild 100s, Low End), a solo album which includes all original production, and a project featuring some notable NY artists such as Styles P and GZA.

When MARCS is not murdering tracks, he enjoys listening to AZ, Royce Da 5''9", Joe Budden, Nas, Stack Bundles, Jae Millz, Lupe, Kanye, etc. and others along the same grain. Hip Hop is not dead!! It has taken a beating, but mc''s like MARCS live Hip Hop and hold it together.
