The band was founded in 1998. The originality and the charisma of the band creates passionate, powerful and melodic traditionnal music. The Irish roots of some of the songs is also very present,Les Tireux d''Roches regurarly tours in Europe, they participated to the Folk Alliance Showcases in San Diego and MontrĂŠal,they played at "Les Francofolies de MontrĂŠal" and at lots of other major scenes in Montreal including Le Medley, Le Club Soda, La Place des Arts and Le Corona. Their concert has also been presented at Radio-Canada (CBC).

The instrumental cuts of this CD are inspired from a variety of traditions and the recording is particularly intimate and light, to be listened to attentively. It has already gained a top spot among the new productions. J''joue mon air... or "I play my tune", brings a breath of fresh air to the already interesting melodies.
