It all started with a small prayer. Faith Piper began singing when she was just a little girl. “God was so good to me to place a prayer in my mom’s heart for music,” she explains. “It’s my way of expressing myself and giving praise back to Jesus for what He so willingly gave to me.” After spending the past couple of years dedicated to writing, Faith released her debut album, "As I Am", in April 2008.

"As I Am" displays a singer and songwriter of the highest order whose sheer ability belies its basis in sheer faith. Listening to "As I Am", one is immediately struck by the energy of the tracks. Her passion is evident in lovingly, carefully crafted lyrics. Faith Piper writes in a way that is truly personal and yet undeniably universal. Indeed, her purpose-driven poetry is simply exceptional.

It is hard not to feel a part of her music. However, it is hard to sit back apathetically and view the album as a mere musical performance- it is an inspirational addition to the contemporary Christian canon.
