we call this music " SC " for Spontaneous Composition.
Being a working composer/musician in America isn''t about only one style but a new " Change " to a more Eclectic fitting of a great melting pot of cultures,ideas and philosphies. This Cd has been 25 years in the making . So long ago when Erik was a "hippie" and Kirk was doing church music they found out that they had an uncanny ability to improvise over a melodic/chordal structure , a new sound that used classical,jazz,new age,rock n'' roll,country
and other diverse styles to discover a simplistic yet interwoven texture that explored areas unknown. The "Record Company Giants " said OK but what is it, and constantly screamed "It''ll never make Top 40 Radio " and after all these years we found out "THEY WERE RIGHT" and YET we said to each other "WHO CARES" and so we are finally releasing this to the World for the reason " WE LIKE IT" and that should be enough.
