Professor Jinyoung Kim got her doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University. She teaches ''Music in Early Childhood'' and ''Music in elementary education'' courses at the College of Staten Island, CUNY. Her song ''Never Ending Melody'' was awarded runners up from John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2000.
