Stacey was born and grew up in beautiful Mendocino County in Northern California where she started improvising her own songs while walking through the beautiful forests with her flute at age 11. She still continues to love hiking where she lives right against the National Forest in Southern California. As you will see from her song titles, much of her music is inspired by her experience of nature. Stacey studied both piano and flute from various accomplished teachers but always retained her unique, natural style of composition. Stacey draws upon traditional modal scales; her melodies resound a reminiscent call to many ancient cultures - you will hear a bit of Celtic, Indian, Asian influences. Yet while listening to her music you will somehow always feel that you are sitting alongside a pristine waterfall or upon a gorgeous beach, awaking to a perfect sunrise. Her music creates a relaxing environment that doesn''t compromise with the experience of being in the beauty of nature.
