Protocol Theory is an instrumental fusion trio. Our music can be characterized as an energetic blend of rock, funk, blues and a little jazz--or jam rock with jazz sensibilities. This CD was recorded live at a recording studio in New York City. We wanted to capture some live flavor. All songs were written and composed by Protocol Theory except "Swamp Diddy" which was written by Adam Nitti and recorded with his permission. Our musical influences are: Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Leslie West, Albert King, Eric Clapton, Neil Schon, Allan Holdsworth, Jimmy Nolan, Rick Derringer, Billy Cobham, Tony Williams, Ginger Baker, and Lenny White, James Jamerson, Larry Graham, Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Verdine White, Victor Wooten, Oteil Burbridge, Adam Nitti and Matthew Garrison.
