Sacred Ground is based out of Level Cross, NC. The group has been together now for about seven years. The group members consist of:

Margaret Essick - Lead and harmony vocals, some keyboard
Tommy Essick - Lead guitar, banjo, pedal steel, vocals
Frank Eury - Lead and harmony vocals, bass guitar
Pat Faggart - Lead and harmony vocals
William Faggart - Lead and harmony vocals, rhythm guitar
Shane Davis - Drums
Christy Frady - Lead and harmony vocals
Paul Passmore - Rhythm guitar

All members are born again Christians, and dedicated to the Lord, Jesus Christ, and then to their music. The group has performed in many local and out of state churches. Also, at places like the Gospel Chicken House, Richmond, VA, Kinley Gospel Music Hall, Kinley, NC, and various other gospel music theatres.

On October 17, 1999, the group won CD, cassette of the year, given by Country Music Association of America, out of CA, American Eagle Award. Also in 2000 the group was presented an award by Alamance Gospel Music Association the Extra Mile Award.
