The season of Christmas has always been one of Sam Kauffman''s favorite times of the year. It is a time for sharing the gift of music and celebrating hope.

As a teenager Sam remembers Sunday afternoons in Seattle when her mother trained the girls in the neighborhood to sing Christmas music so they could go caroling in the neighborhood.

In high school Sam sang with a trio. Preparing for Christmas concerts and programs was a special. On Christmas Day, dressed in red velvet dresses, the trio would sing for family and friends.

As an adult, Sam continues this tradition through her ministry. Additionally Sam her husband have given a Caroling and Dessert party every year. Friends have told her that it just isn''t Christmas until they experience the joy of singing Christmas carols.

The Gift of Frankincense is a gift of music celebrating the hope born in Christmas every day.
