Songwriter/keyboardist/singer Shrimp City Slim and crew have come to epitomize the genre known as the "Lowcountry blues", a rollicking blend of groovy shuffles, coastal funk, and swampy ballads that reflects the multi-cultural heritage of their home base, Charleston, SC.

SCS has released five CDs to date.

The band plays nearly 200 gigs yearly, touring the eastern part of the USA and overseas.
